Ontario has announced that beginning on May 11, people are allowed into provincial parks to walk, hike, bike, bird watch, etc but camping and beach access remains closed. The case count has 20,238 with 294 new cases being the lowest daily increase since March 31st.
Ford has given details on the provinces plan for entering into Phase 2: Restart. This means that some businesses (campgrounds, marinas, golf courses, etc) will be allowed to reopen on May 16th with many other businesses getting the go ahead for the next week. Although schools remain closed for the remainder of the school year.
On May 27th, the province announced they will be extending all emergency orders until June 9th but majority of healthcare professions can see patients once each sector gets the go-ahead.
